I’ve visited St Luke’s a couple of times for work events as it’s just round the corner from our offices. They have loads of rooms to hire and there’s always a buzzy vibe there. We used the Garden Room recently, which (as you might be able to guess) looks out on to a courtyard garden – a lovely space to get some fresh air to break up a workshop.

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting The Hub several times through my work at UnLtd, and I’ll continue to find any excuse to hang out there! It really is a hub of activity, there’s always so much going on in the shop, cafe and training rooms. They have only recently developed the new building and have put so much thought into how the space is both suitable for all the different needs of the trainees (people with learning disabilities) and delightful for the customer. It’s large and light, but still warm and inviting. You can hire the large cafe/shop space for evening events, or they have smaller spaces for meetings and workshops. If you’re holding an event in Yeovil, this is the place to be!

I’ve known about Shoreditch Trust for a while, from my days of working in Hackney. They are a great charity and are doing amazing things in the local community. They’ve got lots of spaces to hire, too many to list, but my favourite space is the Waterhouse Restaurant, it’s a beautiful space and I have had the pleasure of trying their delicious food! You can visit for breakfast/lunch or you can hire the venue for private meals – a real treat.
